Dome Volcanoes.
A dome volcano is a mountain round in shape made full of lava. The lava's high silica content and high velocity is what causes the lave to to stray very far from its vent and shaping the dome shape of the volcano.
Examples of Dome Volcanoes.
Lassen Peak is a Dome volcano that is located in the Cascade Range. It is one of the largest Lava Domes on Earth. The last eruption from this volcano was on May 22nd, 1915 this explosive eruption devastated surrounding areas. Unlike most lava domes Lassen Peak is topped by many craters.
